Welcome

Columbus Indian Temple had come a long way since the grand opening ceremony on Sept 30th 2005. IRCCC corporation was formed in 2005 and purchased land and structure on Schomburg road. In year 2006 the Indian Religious and Cultural Center of Columbus (IRCCC) was formed as a non-profit corporation incorporated in the state of Georgia. Columbus Indian temple is under the umbrella of IRCCC. The temple started with the pictures of the deities. Daily Aarati used to be performed by volunteers and in due course a permanent priest was hired. The Moortis were carefully selected from Jaipur, and Chennai, India. A formal inauguration ceremony was performed on March 28th 2010. All important Indian festivals were organized by volunteers and everybody enjoyed the diverse activities at the temple.

As the community needs started expanding, IRCCC started looking for a viable place for temple and a community hall. The current location on Double Churches Road was purchased in April 2012. After an extensive renovation inside the structure, the current IRCCC Mandir was inaugurated on August 10th 2013.

As we look back on the years, we can all be proud of the impact the Columbus Indian temple made for the Indian Community in Columbus. The temple has rightfully became the focal point for religious services and celebration of festivals. In addition it provided a home for the education and youth activities. All this was possible with the support of the selfless and dedicated volunteers who kept the temple in operation. As we reflect on the accomplishments of the past years, it is also timely that we focus on the future and look at ways to improve and achieve temple goals. We ask the support of each and every one of you to help us to achieve these goals. Support is needed in both monetary and voluntary way. Please do not hesitate to contact any of the committee members with your ideas and support.
